Campaign: Voices of Venus: New Music for Voices & Electronics
Juice Vocal Ensemble commissioned three groundbreaking female artists to compose new works for three female voices and electronics to be premiered at the ‘Venus Unwrapped’ Festival at Kings Place, London, with further performances planned in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Juice had been longing for more repertoire with electronics for years – they raised £5,000 themselves towards the project (including a generous £1,000 from Kings Place) but hit a brick wall with all other sources of funding, so needed to go to their community with a crowdfunding campaign.

Juice Vocal Ensemble premiered the three new pieces by Olivia Louvel, Gazelle Twin and Nwando Ebizie at Kings Place in October 2019, with Venus-themed lighting, a haze machine and gold face glitter!
