Campaign: FLOCKHERE – The app for women who work from home
FLOCKHERE wants to change the way the world works by bringing women who work from home together.
Flexible working is great. Until it’s not.
- The peace and quiet that becomes a constant reminder of your isolation…
- The 5-minute TV break that turns into binge watching a Netflix series…
- The unlimited cups of tea that end up half-drunk and skyrocketing your energy bills…
But when you don’t have a dedicated office space, what’s a girl to do?
Danielle Wallington, founder of The Kindred networking and co-working community, realised that “when I wasn’t running the co-working meet ups, I was constantly being asked if I knew of any nice places to work from during the week and I just knew there was something in this. I noticed that women who don’t have access to a dedicated office space face a unique set of challenges that often go unnoticed and ignored by corporate companies and some fixed-location co-working spaces. Because an inspiring place to work shouldn’t be the thing that holds women back.”
So she wanted to do something about it…
FLOCKHERE is the first and only app designed specifically for women who work from home to find + book in at laptop-friendly venues where they can not only be productive but also connect with other local solo workers in their local community.
The FLOCKHERE campaign ran on Crowdfunder, and as a result of its early success, was able to take advantage of support from the Crowdfunder team in the form of an extended run, building up additional funding to get the app and community off to the best possible start.
Since funding:
FLOCKHERE is under development with a planned 2024 launch.
